Last Floor Meeting: Thai food, floormates &fruit

Hey everyone!

So now as the year is (unfortunately) winding down, so too have our events and now floor meetings!

Our last one was this week:( It was quite sad, as getting all of us on the floor (66) to reunite, eat, and have some finishing words about how much we loved the year together was a little bittersweet.

I’m sure the feeling is similar to what many of you are going through with leaving high school, but what is great for our floor is that many of us are going to live within our same Residence College next year and go from Lien (Brooking Res College’s freshmen dorm) to Greg (Brooking’s sophomore dorm). And while we may not be living together in the same sophomore suites or even buildings, we’ll at least get to see each other around campus or in classes!

Even during floor activities, Lien 2 gets its study on. In fact, it's often a very productive time for people to ask questions from other Lien 2-ers who have taken or are taking the same classes.

In any case, we had some last-minute information from our RA’s about how to pack up for move-out and talked about some of our favorite parts about this year. We even made a list of things we wanted the future Lien 2-ers to know as advice for next year!

Our two RAs ordered delicious Thai food, fruit, cookie cake, and coloring books (not sure why that last item came along). RA Ehi also set up the film “Cool Runnings” (such a classic) in our common room so that we could hang out and watch together even after the formal meeting was over.

Anyway, it was a little sad, but like all floor get together, a great way to spend our of our last Thursday nights together! Have a look at some of the bonding below:

So much floor love! Well, while everyone truly wants to be around each other, these Lien 2ers are actually congregating common room's kitchen area to get a little closer to the Thai food as well!
